Bents Basin is a popular location for swimming, kayaking, bushwalking, fishing and hanging out for a picnic with a view. Open all year round, visitors can enjoy lunch in the winter sun or cooling off with water activities in the summer.

There are a number of walking trails for visitors to access including Caley’s Lookout Track which leads to Little Mountain, a scenic lookout area that is 150 meters in elevation and offers gorgeous Instagram worthy views. As a home of many native plant and animal species and with a rich Aboriginal History, visitors can arrange a guided tour with park rangers by appointment.

Two roads provide access to the park (Bens Basin Road in the northwest and Bents Loop Road in the east). A fee is charged for vehicle access per day.

Located only 40 minutes from Western Sydney and an hour from Sydney City, Bents Basin is perfect for an adventurous day trip in the outdoors.
