Thirlmere village will awaken to the enchanting sound of the steam whistle for the annual Thirlmere Festival of Steam.
Don't miss this unique and exciting weekend event for the whole family; proudly brought to you by Wollondilly Shire Council and Transport Heritage NSW, operators of the NSW Rail Museum.
Across two action packed days, relax with your family and friends and enjoy some live music, carnival rides, food stalls and more. Wander through the streets of beautiful Thirlmere Village and browse all the artisan wares on offer. Visit the NSW Rail Museum and check out Australia's largest collection of rolling stock before setting off on a 40-minute steam train ride along the Loop Line from historic Thirlmere Station.
There will also be the annual street parade and an amazing opportunity to see Mahalia Barnes perform live! Along with Mahalia Barnes the festival will feature live music from a range of other talented local artists.
