Visitors can enjoy peaceful and rural views and scenic drives around Mt Hunter.

Glenmore, first settled in 1840, was the home of ex-convict Edward Moore who purchased 2000 acres and whose descendants still live in the area. There are the heritage buildings, Glenmore House, Glenmore Church and Ellensville and some of the early buildings can be seen from the road.
