Thirlmere Rail Heritage Ct - Southern Aurora Dining Tours

The Thirlmere Rail Heritage Ct is also the home of the famous "Southern Aurora'. This luxury train used on the first through Sydney to Melbourne trains in 1962. Meaning 'Stone house' is the old 'Stonequarry Lodge' of Picton which was purchased by the Local Land Council in 1998. Available for most types of functions with full catering and accommodation available if required.

Historic Wollondilly Shire Hall

The Historic Wollondilly Shire Hall is an ideal economical choice as a venue for your meeting, function or special event.

Well equipped with a commercial kitchen,full heating,a large hall with a timber dance floor, 2 entry foyers,a small ante room ready to set up a buffet or for a more intimate atmosphere. There is baby grand piano available for hire to special interest group ( bond required)

The main hall seats approx 130 at table with tables & chairs supplied.

The Shire Hall is also home to Picton Theatre Group who host a regular program of dinner shows throughout the year.

Part of this building was originally the Public School (1869 - 1910) before the present school was opened. The Shire Hall was officially opened in 1915 and will provide a heritage ambience for your special event
