Aboriginal Women's Healing House

The Healing House is a place for relaxation and meditation, massage and Reiki, Aboriginal Spirituality, Basket weaving, Painting, Sewing, and Yarning. It is a place for Women to come together, share create and be renewed.

The Women's Healing House will also arrange and facilitate weekends away. All women who feel the need are most welcome to apply,

from the Community, from Aboriginal Organizations government or private.

Inner Space Centre for Spiritual Learning

Inner Space is a venue of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University, www.bkwsu.com a non-governmental organization affiliated to the United Nations. Through over 5,000 branches in 86 countries it offers a wide variety of programs on meditation and personal development.

The Venue:

The Brahma Kumaris Inner Space Retreat Centre is a twelve-acre property offering wonderful meditation facilities including a balance of landscaped gardens, open grassed areas and natural bushland. Comfortable twin-share bedrooms with ensuite, featuring timber and sandstone.

The Cost:

The running of the centre is entirely through voluntary contributions which are gratefully received.

S.T.A.D.S Sarahs Theatre & Drama Skills

S.T.A.D.S is a combination of 20 yrs singing and acting training, performance and early childhood education combined into drama classes for kids.

Sarah teaches drama and performance in Picton to children aged 5 - 19 yrs. Sarah uses the experience of working throughout Sydney in professional and amateur shows and training with some of the top drama schools and singing teachers to give her students unique and professional classes.

Drama to Sarah is not just about performing, but also gaining confidence, self-worth, leadership skills and of course having fun!

S.T.A.D.S also has a gospel funk choir who regularly perform everything from show tunes to pop and Sarah also takes students for private singing lessons. In conjunction with this is the choreography group, who work hard at designing unique dance routines to perform both alone and with the choir - giving a full Musical Theatre experience.

Sarah is also creating her own Agency to promote the students for film, tv and ad work,. She also runs The Youth Initiative - a program designed to give young people the opportunity to perform in large scale productions specifically for their age group.

Southern Tablelands Arts is a community based and managed arts organisation that provides equal opportunity for individuals and communities to participate in the arts. Members enjoy many benefits including regular information on cultural events, exhibitions and performances happening around the region, support and advice in applying to various funding bodies for grants and access to various practical workshops held throughout the region.

Membership is free and new members are actively encouraged to consider a position on the board, where you can have your say in the development and growth of arts in the Southern Tablelands.

The Picton Village Studio

A socially oriented group of gifted and talented artists working together to create opportunities for interaction in an informal non competitive environment. Exhibitions are used as fund raising opportunities for the Children's Cancer Council and are generally held within the month of November at the Atmosphere Café in Picton.
